Harmony, North Carolina, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is the home of our School for Dog Trainers in the United States. Our facility is about an hour North of Charlotte, NC and is also convenient to Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Hickory and Lake Norman, North Carolina.
Our School for Dog Trainers location in North Carolina offers and idyllic rural setting that is ideal for learning. We have 17 spacious acres that offer a multitude of areas for training. Our NC location has a fully equipped classroom, dog-safe rubble pile for Search and Rescue training, a full agility course, detection training areas and much more. We offer state of the art kennels, grooming areas and exercise yards.
Our climate controlled classroom seats up to 20 students. Approximately 35% of the program time is spent in the classroom during lectures, discussions, videos, and other presentations. Classroom lectures and discussions give you the knowledge and fundamentals that you will apply during the hands-on training that takes place at our training center. A conference room is also available in our classroom that can be used by students for discussions, studying or preparing assignments. WiFi access is available inside the classroom, where you will also find a public student computer and printer, shared student refrigerator and small kitchenette for use during lunch breaks, state of the art presentation displays, and whiteboard. Our classroom has several shops and restaurants within walking distance.
A great deal of the practical hands-on training is conducted at our nearby dog training center. For dog training, we have a number of spacious training areas available. We have specific areas set up for detection training and we have access to countless areas nearby, such as warehouses, schools and vehicle lots, for detection training. Our training center also has a dog safe rubble pile for training disaster search and rescue dogs and we have access to countless acres of wooded areas for training trailing and other search and rescue dogs for both live-find and cadaver detection. We have three sets of agility equipment, one for competition pet dog training and two for working dogs. We also have a pond and dock that is often used in warmer months where dogs can cool off and exercise. At the training center you will find convenient restrooms, a refrigerator and freezer for dog treats and training aids and WiFi access.
We offer four separate housing locations for those students who prefer to stay close to campus for the length of the program. We have housing available on-site as well as within walking distance from the training center. For student convenience, we also offer housing conveniently located in the nearby city of Statesville, an approximate 15 minute drive from the training center. Every student housing facility includes WiFi, fully furnished kitchens, laundry facilities and television. WiFi is also available in the classroom for students to use.

Some students traveling to our school occasionally wish to stay in their own RV close by. We have two RV parks within a few miles of our facility that students can take advantage of if they wish to do so while attending our programs. Student Kennel Access
For the convenience of our students we offer day kennels where they can keep their dogs during lectures and while working with other dogs. Our day kennels allow students dogs to get some fresh air during the day with protection from the sun and weather. If students leave for the weekend and need to board their dog(s) in our kennels, standard boarding rates will apply.
Airport Pickup and Transportation
We offer complimentary airport pickup from either of our convenient international airports for anyone traveling to or from our school. Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is located about 60 minutes south of our facility and is a popular airport for many International flights. Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) is located about 60 minutes East of our facility and hosts daily regional and International Flights. If you are arriving by air, simply send us your itinerary and we’ll gladly pick you up at the airport. We provide transportation while attending our courses and will return you to the airport when your course is complete.
Our facility is conveniently located nearby a host of attractions that interest our students during their downtime and on the weekends. Our location is less than an hour drive from Charlotte, Lake Norman, Winston-Salem and Hickory, NC.
Our location is a short drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway which boasts hundreds of attractions including Grandfather Mountain and the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. About fifteen minutes away, Statesville, NC has a variety of dining and shopping options and is home to the Annual Balloon Festival. Lake Norman and Lake Norman State Park are just a short drive away near Mooresville, NC, which is also home to many NASCAR teams and shops. If you are looking for nightlife, Charlotte is always bustling and has regular events downtown.
