Our most inclusive dog training program is our Master Dog Trainer School and is popular among students who are truly looking to jump-start their professional dog training career.
This program is designed to offer you all of the tools and experience it takes to become a successful dog trainer in an expanding and profitable industry. Our Master Dog Trainer program will immerse you in all aspects of dog training and allow you the opportunity to learn from some of the top trainers in the industry. Unlike other master dog trainer certification programs that simply cover dog training specialty areas for a few days, this course gives you an enormous amount of valuable hands-on experience that is required to become a successful dog trainer.
Our Master Dog Trainer School encompasses all aspects of dog training. It provides you with both theoretical and practical, hands-on experience in each area.

Master Dog Trainer School Curriculum
This course includes all of the material, lectures and practical hands-on training that is covered in our Canine Training and Behavior Modification Professionals Program, Police K9 Instructor Program, Search and Rescue Dog Trainer Program and our inclusive Service Dog Trainer Program. This training curriculum combines all of the training programs offered at our School for Dog Trainers and is the most comprehensive and inclusive dog trainer program you will find available in the industry today!
Our Master Dog Trainer Program offers you an opportunity to become a well-rounded, professional dog trainer and provides you with the knowledge and experience to position yourself in the dog training market in a way that will afford you a steady income stream and client base. This program also teaches you important aspects concerning business management that will give you the tools you need to build your business from the ground up.
This program will prepare graduates to begin their own successful dog training business, offering a variety of dog training services for their clients. By understanding and being able to effectively apply the techniques learned during this program, you will be able to offer your clients more and therefore be capable of providing more revenue.

Master Dog Trainer School Calendar
Due to the length of our program, our Master Dog Trainer Course is only offered twice per year, during our Winter (January) and Summer (July) semesters.
Our Master Dog Trainer School starts on the first Monday in January and July unless those dates fall on a holiday. This program is NOT offered in our Spring and Fall semesters.

Programs Included in the Master Dog Trainer Course
Our Master Dog Trainer Course is designed to make sure that you are a well-rounded and successful professional dog trainer once you graduate. As such, this program includes much of the curriculum from a number of our popular dog trainer courses.
Canine Training & Behavior Modification
Included in our Master Dog Trainer Program, our Canine Training and Behavior Modification Professionals Program teaches you how to train dogs for on and off leash obedience as well as competition level obedience. This program teaches many dog training methodologies, but focuses on rehabilitating problem behaviors in dogs and teaches the fundamentals of canine behavior analysis and dog behavior modification. This program offers an insight into other specialty areas such as Rally-Obedience, dog agility, K9 Scentwork, Therapy Dog Training and the American Kennel Club CGC. This program will teach you the skills that you need to teach dog training group classes, private dog training lessons as well as in home and in kennel dog training. This program also focuses on how to start your own dog training business as well as successful kennel management.
Police K9 Instructor
The Master Dog Trainer School Program also includes all aspects of our police canine instructor / trainer program. An intensive and comprehensive course that teaches you all phases of police k9 training from selection and testing to advanced skills training for police dogs. This program also teaches you successful and proven methods of conducting police k9 handler training and teaching handlers how to effectively work with and handle their newly assigned police dogs. Often, students of our Master Dog Trainer Course are given the opportunity to get directly involved in ongoing police canine maintenance training and police K9 handler courses that are taking place at our facility. This program covers detection dog training, bitework and criminal suspect apprehension as well as trailing, article searches, building searches and canine related case law.
Service Dog Trainer
The Master Dog Trainer Program also teaches the components of our inclusive service dog trainer program. This program covers selection and testing dogs for service dog training as well as methods of properly pairing the correct dog with the appropriate handler. The Service Dog Trainer School teaches graduates how to train service dogs for individuals with mobility impairments, signal dogs or dogs trained to assist those who are deaf or have hearing impairments, seizure alert and seizure assistance dogs as well as Autism Service Dogs to help those affected by autism spectrum disorders. Our service dog trainer school also gives students the opportunity to meet with existing clients and to see how our trainers handle the unique situations that trainers are often presented with while working with service dogs.
Search & Rescue Dog Trainer
Included in this Master Dog Trainer School Program is also all of the elements of our Search & Rescue Dog Trainers Program. This program teaches the fundamentals of training a variety of search and rescue dogs including USAR or disaster dogs, HRD or cadaver dogs as well as Wilderness Search and Rescue dogs and Trailing dogs including scent discrimination training and variable surface trailing. In our Master Dog Trainer Course you will have the opportunity to learn from experts and practitioners in the field of search and rescue dog training. This program also teaches you how to properly select, test and train dogs for search and rescue operations. Also covered during the program is valuable information on how to instruct dog handlers as well as how to problem solve search and rescue dog teams.

We offer simple and affordable financing options and can finance tuition for up to 48 months with payments as low as $214 per month.

About Our Campus
The Master Dog Trainer program is delivered at the Main Campus of the School for Dog Trainers, located in Harmony, North Carolina.
The Main Campus includes a 50+ acre Canine Education Center and 23+ acre Canine Development and Training Center, both equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for every aspect of dog training, including agility equipment and a competition-grade dock diving pool.
Our campus is approximately one hour north of Charlotte, making it convenient for air and road transportation.
