Hanceville, AL is the location for the Southeast Campus of the School for Dog Trainers. Located in the north of the state, the campus is located approximately half an hour from Birmingham, AL, and is conveniently located to other points of interest within the state.
Our Southeast Campus is the ideal learning environment for any aspiring dog trainer. Our facility in Alabama boasts plenty of space for outdoor dog training, in addition to a climate-controlled classroom environment for students to understand canine behavior theory from our team of expert dog trainers.

Canine Education Center
Our Southeast Campus features a 100+ acre Canine Education Center just minutes from Interstate 65.
The Canine Education Center is home to our classrooms, pro shop and business offices, in addition to providing generous space for many different forms of dog training.
Our climate controlled classroom seats up to a dozen students comfortably. Approximately one-third of the program time is spent in the classroom during lectures, discussions, videos, and other presentations.
Classroom lectures and discussions give students the knowledge and fundamentals they will apply during the hands-on training that takes place at our training center.
Our pro shop is fully stocked with everything that you may need during our dog training programs. From a variety of leashes and lines to a full line of Dogtra products and other dog training equipment at affordable prices.

Canine Development and Training Center
A significant amount of the hands-on dog training involved in our courses is conducted at our dog training center. We have 100+ spacious acres that provide the perfect basis for several areas for dog training.
We have specific areas set up for detection training and we have access to countless areas nearby, such as warehouses, schools and vehicle lots for detection training.
Our training center also has a dog safe rubble pile for training disaster search and rescue dogs and we have access to countless acres of wooded areas for training trailing and other search and rescue dogs for both live-find and cadaver detection.
At the training center you will find convenient restrooms, a refrigerator and freezer for dog treats and training aids and WiFi access.

We offer housing locations for students who prefer to stay on or close to campus for the length of the program. We have housing available on-site as well as within walking distance from the training center. For student convenience, we also offer housing conveniently located in the nearby city of Hanceville, an approximate 15 minute drive from the training center. Every student housing facility includes WiFi, fully furnished kitchens, laundry facilities and television. WiFi is also available in the classroom for students to use.

Some students traveling to our school occasionally wish to stay in their own RV close by. We have two RV parks within a few miles of our facility that students can take advantage of if they wish to do so while attending our programs. Listed below are two parks within minutes of our facility. Please contact the park directly for rates and details.
Student Kennel Access
For the convenience of our students we offer day kennels where they can keep their dogs during lectures and while working with other dogs. Our day kennels allow students dogs to get some fresh air during the day with protection from the sun and weather. If students leave for the weekend and need to board their dog(s) in our kennels, standard boarding rates will apply.
Airport Pickup and Transportation
We offer complementary airport pickup from either of our convenient international airports for anyone traveling to or from our school. Birmingham International Airport (BHM) is located about 40 minutes south of our facility and is a popular airport for many International flights. Huntsville International Airport (HSV) is located about an hour north of our facility and hosts daily regional and international Flights.
If you are arriving by air, simply send us your itinerary and we’ll gladly pick you up at the airport. We provide transportation while attending our courses and will return you to the airport when your course is complete.
Our Southeast Campus is conveniently located nearby a host of attractions that interest our students during their downtime and on the weekends. Our location is less than an hour drive from Birmingham, Cullman, Huntsville and Decatur.
Our location is a short drive from Lewis Smith Lake which boasts over 500 miles of shoreline, hosting many fishing tournaments, boat rentals and camping. About fifteen minutes away, Cullman, AL has a variety of dining and shopping options. There are several state parks nearby that offer sightseeing, hiking, mountain bike trails, and picnicking.
If you are looking for nightlife, Birmingham is always bustling and has regular events downtown.
