2026 marks an incredible 20 years of the School for Dog Trainers!
Over the past two decades, we have been at the forefront of canine education – welcoming hundreds of students from across the globe who are passionate about pursuing a career as a professional dog trainer. What started off with a single campus location in North Carolina has now evolved to a multi-campus operation, offering specialized programs in various disciplines of dog training.

3 Campus Locations
The School for Dog Trainers has three campus locations. The Main Campus is located in Harmony, NC; the Southeast Campus is based in Hanceville, AL; and the Hill Country Campus is in Utopia, TX.

From our flagship 24-week Master Dog Trainer program to dedicated courses for service dog trainers, police K9 trainers and more, our curriculum is the most comprehensive in the industry.
96 Classes
Since 2006, we have welcomed 96 classes (and counting!) of students to our programs across our three campuses at the School for Dog Trainers.Â

6 International Scholarship Recipients

Our International Scholarship is awarded annually, offering recipients the opportunity to attend our Master Dog Trainer program. Scholarships have been awarded to students from Mexico, Singapore, United Kingdom, Costa Rica, South Africa and Egypt.
275+ Acres For Dog Training
Each of our campus locations offers abundant room for a number of dog training activities, including curated spaces for detection, search and rescue, agility, and other types of training.

43 Countries

Since 2006, we have welcomed hundreds of international dog trainer students from 43 countries spanning six continents.Â
11 Non-Canids Used For Student Excellence
Our Student Excellence program encourages students to push their learning above and beyond the standard curriculum – including applying behavioral principles to non-canids. Pigs, raccoons, parrots, horses, rats and others have all been taught how to perform tricks over the years!

16 Honor Society Inductees

Exceptional students who complete their program with a 4.0 GPA and 98% attendance are inducted into the Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society.Â
