Planning where you’ll stay is an important part of preparing for dog trainer school. Whether you’re looking for furnished housing or traveling with your own RV, options vary by campus.

For students attending our Main Campus in North Carolina or Southeast Campus in Alabama, Farmhouse Property Management, LLC offers furnished, shared housing for your time at school.

Housing at our Main and Southeast Campuses

Farmhouse housing gives students a place to live alongside fellow students while attending school. Each house includes:

  • Furnished bedrooms with twin beds
  • Wi-Fi
  • A full kitchen
  • Shared living and dining areas
  • A washer and dryer at no additional charge

Students supply their own bedding, pillows, towels, laundry detergent, food, and personal items.

Will I have a roommate?

Students reserve a spot in a bedroom, rather than a specific room or house. When housing is full, houses accommodate approximately four to six students, with two students per shared bedroom.

You should be prepared for the possibility of a roommate. Private bedrooms cannot be reserved or purchased; they are assigned only when space allows.

Living rooms, kitchens, dining areas, and laundry facilities are shared with other students in the house. Bathrooms are also shared, and the number of students using each bathroom varies by property.

How are rooms and roommates assigned?

Instructors carefully select roommates and assign students to houses and bedrooms shortly before the course begins. If there is another student you would like to room with, contact admissions to share your request.

You’ll receive your housing address, room assignment, and check-in instructions during the week before class starts, before move-in begins.

Can I see photos of the houses?

Yes. You can browse interior and exterior photos on Farmhouse’s property pages:

These pages show the available properties. Your specific house and bedroom will be assigned before your course begins.

Bringing your dogs

Students may bring up to two personal dogs each to Farmhouse housing at either campus, with no additional dog fees.

Dogs should stay in a crate whenever they are unsupervised. Bring a crate large enough for each dog to sit, stand, lie down, and move around comfortably.

Rates and reservations

Housing is separate from tuition. Visit Farmhouse Property Management for current rates and to reserve your spot.

Once you’ve been accepted to the school, we encourage you to reserve housing as soon as possible. There is no fixed reservation deadline, but space is limited. Completing your housing payment through Farmhouse secures your spot.

To reserve, select your stay duration and program location/start date, then complete the requested student information and payment.

If you selected housing on your school application, we’ll periodically contact you with updates about availability as housing fills.

Moving in and moving out

Students can generally move in during the weekend before class starts and must move out during the weekend after graduation. Exact arrangements may vary; follow the dates and instructions provided for your course.

If those dates don’t work for you, contact admissions to discuss your situation.

Will I need a vehicle?

Plan to have your own vehicle. Even if your assigned house is near a school facility, you’ll need transportation for groceries, errands, and activities after class or on weekends.

Traveling with an RV

Students bringing their own RV can explore nearby campgrounds.

Main Campus — North Carolina: Blake Farms Campground is approximately five minutes from the training center and is a popular choice among our students. You can also explore campgrounds in surrounding towns.

Southeast Campus — Alabama: Contact admissions for more information about local RV parks and campgrounds.
